What they refer to as "custom" are actually made-to-measure garments which will never be a priority to the store or the manufacturer. They typically send such accommodations and special customer requests to a factory where a "ready-made" garment is altered to fit the customer. On the other hand real custom clothing is our only business. The trained eye of a tailor can never be duplicated by fax or U.S. mail. We begin with the fabric you select, then cut and make your clothes specifically to fit you. In addition, we have a well located state of the art show room where you receive personal and undivided attention while making your custom clothing selections using Apple’s I-Pad technology; or we can come to your office for selection and measuring. In either scenario expert advice and assistance are always available.
At J.Chriztoff we have years of custom clothing experience. A great custom garment is only good as the person taking the initial measurements. With a unique set of 14 to 20 different measurements, J.Chriztoff has perfected the measuring process through the years. It takes years to learn how to measure and can only be perfected by the experience of doing, not watching or studying.
All of our custom suits are made in state of the art factories throughout the world. Our product rivals garments such as Oxford and the Savile Row tailors. We use all canvas and only the best interlings which protect our garments against normal wear and tear. Our advanced technology not only ensures the initial quality, but also the way it bounces back from the hardest of suit wearers.
Our turn-around time for custom suits is the fastest in the industry. Your suit will arrive 2 to 3 weeks from the time of your initial order. Delivery time depends on how complex a pattern we must create for you.
Usually just one. Our initial measuring process is very complex and thorough. This enables the suit to arrive 100% complete. When the suit arrives you come try it on to make sure that everything matches the initial measurements. Any discrepancies are corrected and the suit can be ready within 2 to 3 days if needed (although we ask for a 5 day turnaround). 7 out of 10 clients’ garments are taken out without needing any further alterations.
J.Chriztoff Custom Clothier sells 30% of its clientele at their offices or homes. We are available to measure you and have you select fabrics in your home or office on a case by case basis. We realize that time is money so we extend this service at no additional charge. We are available every day except Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The buying process is exactly the same, only you are doing it at a place more convenient to you.
All of our clothing is completely custom. Every client receives an extensive measurement profile which starts with tape measures and ends with the most precise measurements including posture, shoulder slope and seat circumference. These measurements are then e-mailed to our factory and within 48 hours a unique “pattern” is created to fit your body. No two patterns are alike.

Absolutely. In addition to your own measurements we take several key measurements directly off the garment like shoulder point to point, half waist width, button height stance, shoulder slope, waist and seat and a few others. We also ask to borrow the garment to send to our factory for further more complicated measurements. Your garment will take a few extra days to deliver but those of you who have that favorite fitting suit know that it is worth the wait.
No. All styling designs are included in the price of the garment (except vests and extra sets of trousers). Examples include functioning buttonholes, pick stitching, extra pockets, slanted pockets, double breasted, contrasting jacket linings, and more.
J.Chriztoff offers free alterations for the 1st year of the garment. If you gain or lose a few ponds we will alter the garment for free. That goes for any other alterations that might be needed down the road. Yes, the suit will still look custom. The most important part of a custom garment is the posture and shoulder measurements. You do not gain or lose weight in those areas.

Your clothier should have a good reputation gained from the quality of his product and his way of doing business. Also consider his repertoire of fabric choices, and the style and attitude of his formal wear, suits, sport coats, pants and shirts. Established customers are usually in and out in no more than 30 minutes. For your first visit, allow about an hour. We will need about 20 minutes to take your measurements for suits and shirts. Give yourself 30 minutes to select the style and choose your fabric. Allow about 10 minutes for order taking. Our custom specialists are on premises by APPOINTMENT ONLY. Please call and make an appointment or you can call at least 1 hour ahead of time to see if a custom specialist is available the same day. We cater or service like this to give you our undivided attention. It typically takes 2 to 3 weeks to complete an order.
We have a complete selection of the finest fabrics from all the most notable mills. We have fabrics ranging from 100% wool to Super 140’s. We also have shirt fabrics from cotton blends to 100% Italian cotton.
We make our own brand of clothing – J.Chriztoff Custom Clothing. Everything we sell is individually tailored for a specific customer. The name that goes into the suit is the name of the person for whom it was made.
Once we have your measurements on file, re-orders are simple. All you have to do is select the cloth. Your custom measurements stay on file for 5 years. If you feel like your weight has changed in certain areas we will re-measure you and adjust your file accordingly.
